The weirdest thing happened today. The mother hen that hatched our cute new babies laid an egg. That's not the weird part. It's like laying the egg turned off her mother switch.
The babies were all on their own today.
No mama calling to them, rounding them up, and finding food for them.
The hen wandered on her own and the babies took care of themselves. It's like we have a totally different chicken. It all happened after laying that one egg.
